Ok so this is totally gonna sound like im bragging..but seriously, Eve is the most compliant child that ever was!!!
The child never moans, never complains, never refuses to do any of her treatments or take any of her meds...she just does it coz she knows she has to!
Eve told me once before that she takes her meds and does her treatments so well because she feels "yucky" without them. So she knows if she doesnt do them she will become sick and feel "yucky!"
Now granted, Eve only started nebs and the vest at 3 (due to us attending the crappiest cf clinic that ever was) so maybe if she had started younger she would have had some issues, but since day 1 she has been so good about doing them.
Right now, Eve takes 40 pills a day..and i dont think i've ever heard her complain about taking so many.
She comes home from school, gets straight into her vest and starts her own treatments without saying a word. Usually she plays with her Sylvanians or Barbies or on her DS while she is doing them so that keeps her entertained for the 30mins.
I'm writing all this with my fingers crossed though...because there may come a point in our lives where Eve will rebel and refuse to do her meds and treatments. I know it is common in cf teens so im preparing myself for that day to come! BUT maybe we'll be one of the lucky ones and Eve wont go through that stage, who knows!?
But for now I am just so thankful that I have the best little girl in the world! :)
